Inside of each of us is a seed. This seed was placed in the center of your soul to maximize your life. Just like any other seed in existence, this seed needs soil, light, and water.
Soil is commonly referred to as "dirt", but no matter what you call it, it is the place where a seed is planted. It is the environment the seed will grow in. There is rich soil, which provides hearty nutrients to fertilize the seed. Most seeds do best in rich soil, but there are environments that do not contain rich soil. This is known as soil depletion; when the components which contribute to fertility are removed and not replaced, and the conditions which support the soil's fertility are not maintained. But even in this environment, some seeds will thrive.
Our bodies can be viewed as the soil for the seed in our soul. Our bodies are different and quite unique, but they are designed specifically for the seed in our souls. Where you grew up could be viewed as your environment. Some grew up in rural environments, some grew in urban environments. There are also some that have received a mixture of both environments. One’s financial state can also be viewed as their environment. Some have finances that give them what is considered the finer things of life. Some have minimal finances, leaving them to rely on the government or charitable services just to survive.
No matter the environment, a seed needs light to grow. The light provides nutrients, warmth, and direction for the seed. Have you ever noticed that a plant grows toward the direction of the light? Wherever your seed receives the most light, it will gravitate. Family is usually the first place the seed in your soul receives light. You are encouraged to do your best. Your confidence is built up to dream. School is another place that gives light and direction. Your intellect is enhanced and innovation is nurtured. Church is another source of light. This is usually where passion, perspective, and compassion are inspired.
Water covers about 70 percent of the planet. In nature, water exists in the form of liquid, solid, and gas. The seed uses the water to germinate. Without water the seed will never grow. Ever notice how lifeless a house plant looks when you forget to water it? Just add a little water and it seems to perk back up. Water nourishes, rejuvenates, and restores. Words, like water, can nourish the seed in our soul. Can you recall a time when someone said a word that struck your soul. That word was water to your seed. Helping someone in need can rejuvenate your soul. One of the best ways to water your seed is to do something nice for someone else. That warm fuzzy feeling that stems from seeing someone else happy because of you is your seed being watered.
I believe God is the restorer of your seed. Just like water, I was taught He comes in 3 forms. God, the Father, is represented as liquid. He is the most abundant compound and will restore our soul. Jesus is represented as a solid. He is tangible like ice. The Holy Spirit is represented as gas, just like the air you breathe.
If you don’t think you got the right soil, repot yourself. If you don’t think you got enough light, reposition yourself. If you don’t think you got enough water, reinsert yourself into a nourishing spring.
There is a seed in your soul that will maximize your life.
